What better way to celebrate spooky season at this year’s New York Comic Con than by sitting down with the man behind some of the hottest — and strangest — horror movies of the last few years, including M3GAN and the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s? Yes, Jason Blum is coming to NYCC 2023 to spill the horror beans about what his Blumhouse empire is up to… and we'll be streaming it here on Popverse for those who can’t be here in person.

Blum’s production company Blumhouse has had a busy year, with the latest installment of Insidious already in theaters, and both a new installment of The Exorcist — from Halloween director David Gordon Green — and a movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s in the wings for the weeks surrounding NYCC, guaranteeing that the panel is going to be a victory lap of all things horror. No wonder the panel’s called Blumfest NYCC.

The official panel description reads:

“Blum is in the house. Blumhouse founder and reigning king of horror Jason Blum, the producer of M3GAN, the HALLOWEEEN trilogy and THE BLACK PHONE, reveals exclusive details about the company’s terrifying upcoming films, including FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S, NIGHT SWIM and TOTALLY KILLER.”

If you're wondering just when this spooky spectacular is going to take place, we’ll tell you: Thursday October 12 at 7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific — and if you can’t make it to the panel at the Javits Center in person on the day, don’t worry (save that for the movies themselves): we’ll be streaming the whole thing right here at Popverse.

This year's New York Comic Con is going to be chock-full of all sorts of cool panels, interviews, and more. Popverse will be there the entire weekend doing what we do best - bringing the greatest bits of the convention home to you. Check out what you can expect from Popverse at New York Comic Con 2023.
