It can be tough to make a marriage work, but when you’re in an arranged marriage between two Yakuza families, things get even more complicated. It is something we’re all going to get to find out when Crunchyroll streams Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Il when it airs in October 2024.
Crunchyroll made the announcement during its Anime Expo 2024 panel that it would be streaming Yakuza Fiancé in most territories outside of Japan along with a slew of other titles like Blue Exorcist and Solo Leveling season two. They also showed a new visual for the series which gave us a first look at main characters Yoshino Somei and Kirishima Miyama in a loving embrace, but not all is what it seems.
Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Il follows Yoshino, who is the yakuza princess of the Osaka Somei family. She is used to everyone leaving her alone because of her family ties and her sharp gaze, but she is forced into an arranged marriage to secure peace with her family’s rival, the Tokyo Miyama family. While her betrothed, Kirishima, seems fine at first, he proves to be as dark and twisted as any mobster Yoshino has ever met.
We don’t know exactly when the first episode of Yakuza Fiancé will air, though we do know that it will air sometime in October during the Fall 2024 Anime Season. Crunchyroll has secured the streaming rights to the series in many territories outside of Japan, including the US and the UK, though they haven’t said if they will be dubbing the series as it airs.
Here's our guide to every anime coming to Crunchyroll, Netflix and other streaming platforms during the Summer 2024 anime season.
