Remember that Tom Cruise movie from 2014 called The Edge of Tomorrow? You know, the one with the tagline, "Live. Die. Repeat." Well, that film was based off of a light novel called All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Now, Sakurazaka's light novel will be adapted into an anime film produced by Warner Bros. Japan and STUDIO 4°C, and directed by Kenichiro Akimoto.

The All You Need is Kill film will tell the story of a girl and boy who are trapped in a time loop after aliens invade their world. STUDIO 4°C has created groundbreaking work in the Japanese animation industry, such as their adaptation of Robin Nishi's manga, Mind Game. Take a look at a teaser image for All You Need is Kill below, showcasing STUDIO 4°C's signature flat colors.

Director Kenichiro Akimoto has worked on projects such as Berserk: The Golden Age Arc trilogy of films. Akimoto was the 3D CG modeling chief on the film Harmony, and the CGI director on Children of the Sea. His direction for the film is said to present the story "from a fresh perspective, focusing on Rita's inner journey as a warrior, delving into her loneliness, struggles, and personal growth."

There is no release date set yet for the film, but production is underway over at STUDIO 4°C, so All You Need Is Kill should be hitting our eyeballs sooner rather than later.
