Good news, Star Wars fans: as of today, your wait for the second and final season of Disney+’s Andor has taken a significant step towards being over, with series star Diego Luna sharing on social media that production on the series is now complete.

Luna took to Instagram to write, “Today is the last day of filming Andor. I could not be more thankful to the entire crew for this amazing experience and the years of hard work. More than 700 people have worked on this production, and it is impossible to say goodbye and thank you to everyone individually, which is why I write here. THANK YOU for the love and the wonderful experience. See you soon.”

The second season of Andor — a spin-off and prequel to 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — began shooting in November 2022, with production intended to last through August 2023; however, the shoot was disrupted in both May and July of that year by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, respectively, with production resuming in late-January 2024 for its final weeks.

At Star Wars Celebration 2023, showrunner Tony Gilroy suggested the show would require a year of post-production work before debuting; if this estimate holds true, fans can expect Andor Season 2 to debut on Disney+ in early 2025. (It's possible than the show might arrive sooner, if some level of post-production work had gotten underway during the show's production hiatus, which is certainly not impossible.)
